The client asked us to develop a proposal to convert an existing stable in central London to suit the needs of their expanding advertising firm. A hovering mirrored volume in the center of the stable’s triple-height space responds to the imperative to transmit light into the stable’s adjacent, lower levels while also expanding the usable square footage. The mirrored volume becomes the visual and organizational hub of the office, with catwalks and stairs bridging to reconcile disconnections between the existing structures.
Cradled between a new glass roof and the conference rooms below, a garden atop the new volume offers a place of repose in the midst of a fast-paced work environment.
